In a Family Yoga class, children, parents, caregivers and even grandparents can spend quality time enjoying a fun and healthy activity. Through yoga poses, games, activities, music and stories, we promote strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach focus, relaxation and self-control.
This class will also promote inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem; a feeling of well-being and respect for others; and, love for one's self, inside and out.
Practicing yoga together helps strengthen the bonds between parents and children, while you support each other and have fun. It's a special opportunity for both to observe and learn from each other.
Family yoga classes are taught in a similar way to kids classes. Families come to the class for two main reasons, one is for the benefit of the kids, whether it's for health and fitness or just for play and fun and the other is to strengthen the bonds within the family and spend quality time together learning yoga and breathing techniques.
