A typical yoga studio does not provide individual attention, there is an extra fee to rent a yoga mat and there are usually 25-50 students per class.  At FitZonePLUS yoga mat and equipment are included in the class fee.  We WILL learn your name and instructors are always available to answer questions. It's important to us to create a non competitive, comfortable environment where you will feel welcome EVERY time.


This class is suitable for beginners and students of all ages and fitness levels, no experience or flexibility required. You will begin by focusing on the basics guided by detailed instructions on how to perform each posture and improve alignment. Options/modifications are given throughout the class for varying degrees of strength and/or flexibility. All of the postures have been carefully chosen, are suitable for our demographic and are easily modified to fit the individual needs of the practitioner. You will be encouraged to work at your level, honour your body and limitations and go deeper when you feel you're ready in a non-competitive environment. These classes will help you become familiar with the foundation poses and prepare you for a regular yoga practice.

All levels and abilities, no experience required. (Tuesday class is an even gentler beginner class called Gentle Yoga)


This is a multi-level class focused on developing synchronization of breath and flow of movement to build strength and balance in your practice. You will dive deeper into poses with a non-aggressive, non-competitive approach and modest pace for a more open, graceful body and greater self-awareness. The teacher will begin to link postures and guide you through flows of movement incorporating two or more asanas. This class is open to all levels, but due to the slower tempo it is appropriate for beginners as well as those with more experience. All of the postures have been carefully chosen and are easily modified to fit the individual needs of the practitioner.

All levels and abilities. Pre-requisite 3 beginner yoga classes taken either at FitZonePLUS or elsewhere.

TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS, starting March 19th

The room will be heated to a comfortable and pleasant 30ºC (think warm summer day, rather than so hot you can't breathe) to warm your muscles, allow a deeper stretch and cleanse the body by flushing toxins. This relaxing class will leave you feeling calm and rejuvenated and will include a short savasana meditation at the end. Appropriate for all levels, this class is slow and deeply nurturing, yet you will get a good workout too. Beginners can stretch gently, while more seasoned practitioners can progress to deeper stretches. Props will be available for extra support and relaxation.

Let stress and tension melt away and connect with a deep sense of peace and relaxation. Restorative Yoga is a gentle healing form of Hatha yoga that is practiced with props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to provide a supportive environment for total relaxation. These gentle poses create physiological responses which are beneficial to your health and can reduce the effects of stress. Experience deep relaxation as you stimulate the body to move toward balance. Activate healing from stress of daily activities, major life events, injuries, arthritis, fatigue, or illness. The class is slow and deeply nurturing.

THURSDAYS, Starts on April 8th

Relaxing and restorative class that incorporates gentle flowing movements to warm up the body, then the Thai Massage/Yoga Instructor will perform stretches to get you deeper into the poses. Stretches are personalized for each student and for greater personal attention, classes are limited to 12 people.

This class incorporates a flowing, dynamic form of yoga sequences aligned with organic breathing. Taught with specific alignment and timing to optimise the benefits of practicing yoga in a heated environment, the room temperature is comfortable and pleasant 30ºC to help facilitate a deep and effective stretch to your entire body. You will notice that the heat creates a detoxifying sweat, and leaves you with a healthy glow. The postures in this class are diverse so that they balance out both strength and flexibility; the routine usually includes standing sequences, forward bends, twists, hip openers and balancing poses, finishing with savasana (final meditation). Come hydrated and prepare to sweat!
